Although
J.J. was the only biological child to his mother, 'Mama Minnie,' he had
numerous brothers and sisters. Mama Minnie opened her home and fostered
nearly 30 children for the "Fulton County, Georgia's Foster Care
System," giving these children Mama
Minnie and J.J. lived a simple lifestyle. When he was just a baby, being
that Mama Minnie didn't have many luxuries, she had to use simple things
like cardboard boxes as cribs and play pens for J.J. and one of the puppies
as his companion and As
entertainment to her son, Mama Minnie would play the piano and sing to
J.J. all the time. One of her favorite songs was "Someone To Watch
Over Me." He always has When
J.J. would finish with his chores on the farm, he would sit in the window
and watch her work and play his saxophone. He developed a love for music,
vocal and instrumental, and gained the desire to sing. To no avail at
the vocal side of music,
